Today's Challenge

Today's Challenge for me is to create a pattern for my Godson's birthday gift.  I can't say what his gift is, just in case his mummy is reading this blog, but I think he's going to love it!

Its very boyish and something that he can take with him and love for a long time.

I went to the quilting shop in town this morning and found some adorable fabric for it, spent more than I thought but for my special little guy's birthday, money is not an issue.... Plus all the extra love that goes in makes so much more special!

His party isn't until October 6th, so check back after then to see what the special little item I made him is! For now Ill give you a sneak peek at the fabric and the appliqués I got for it!  Can't do that because Mr S must have the camera, it seems to have gone AWOL haha. So I will leave you all in suspense until after TJ's party!

Until next time,
Keep Smiling!

Team Swaps

Team Swap time and this month's theme was 'Male Cards'.  Unlike most people I find male cards quite easy to make, sometimes alot easier than female cards. Shocking I know! But when this challenge for team swaps came up I was loaded with Ideas of all the fantastic Male Cards I could make....... Then I hit a wall when I realised that all the stamp sets I love to use for my male cards are either retired Stampin' Up Stamp Sets or NOT Stampin' Up Stamp Sets. Both these are NO-NOs for teams swaps... All swaps need to be made using current Stampin' Up Stamp Sets and Card stock and Accessories. Back to the drawing board I went.  After looking through my Idea Book & Catalogue about 50 trillion times I finally decided Id CASE and alter one of the cards shown in the Catalogue. This is what I came up with

My 8 swaps all together... only needed to make 6 to swap but I couldn't decide which base colour I liked better so I made myself 2 to keep for my folder.

So what do you think?? Does it resemble the card on Page 61 at all?? Do you prefer it on the 'Not Quite Navy' or the 'Night of Navy' better??

Naming Ceremony Invitations & Proud Mummy Moment

Hi everyone!

Today I finally finished the invitations for my baby girl's Naming Ceremony. They took me a while to make them, I think I spanned the process across a week, but that was on and off, maybe 1-3 hours a day, with 2 small children finding a block to sit and create can be quite hard.

So here are the 24 invites all together -

And a close up of an individual invite -

I am quite pleased with my efforts, I think they turned out pretty well, especially since it was nothing like I was originally planning, everything had to change when I received the photos from the photographer as they were all  the wrong direction, but in the end everything worked perfectly!a

PROUD MUMMY MOMENT -

Isn't she just the cutest little teddy bear!!
