Naming Ceremony Invitations & Proud Mummy Moment

Hi everyone!

Today I finally finished the invitations for my baby girl's Naming Ceremony. They took me a while to make them, I think I spanned the process across a week, but that was on and off, maybe 1-3 hours a day, with 2 small children finding a block to sit and create can be quite hard.

So here are the 24 invites all together -

And a close up of an individual invite -

I am quite pleased with my efforts, I think they turned out pretty well, especially since it was nothing like I was originally planning, everything had to change when I received the photos from the photographer as they were all  the wrong direction, but in the end everything worked perfectly!a

PROUD MUMMY MOMENT -

Sorry to be all mushy but Miss I said 'Mumma' for the 1st time last night. I was sooooo proud of her, well I still am! She's 6 months and 2 weeks old! She's gonna be a smart little cookie just like her big sister! And she's going to be a little 'Have-A-Chat' just like Mummy was, when I was little my Pop nicknamed me just that! Isn't she just the cutest little teddy bear!!

Happy Birthday To My Special Man

Yesterday was Mr S's birthday, a big 24!!! He had a great day and I believe we spoilt him :)
I made him a nice card (supply list at the end) -

And Miss M drew this beautiful picture on the inside of his card of our little family -
Daddy is the square looking one, baby us that tiny little circle next to daddy, Miss M is the middle one with the big piece of hair out her head and Mummy is upside down (I hope lol) on the end. For a 2y 9m old I thought it was very very good but I am a very proud mummy who thinks her babies are the smartest around haha.

And since Mr S is a big Bundaberg Rum fan, we brought him the new bottle of Master's Distiller's Rum from the Bondstore in Bundaberg. This one is 'Golden Reserve' and adds to his collection he has going on, I'll upload his display that is always growing!!

Miss M, Miss I and myself then took Mr S out to dinner at our local Hogs Breath Cafe, and being Hogs Breath Virgins, we were amazed at the food and service they provided!  We learnt a couple of lessons, we dont need to buy an entree next time, Mr S said he'll only be getting the Lite Cut next time and 1 desert feeds 2 adults and a 2yo!  It was all delicious though! The food was fantastic, the steak just melts in your mouth! The service was unbelievable! We've never had service that fantastic anywhere and we've eatten at a fair few places but Hogs Breath outdone every where else! The even came out and sung Mr S Happy Birthday with sparklers and everything! We will definately be dining at our local Hogs Breath again!

We hope you had a great day babe! And next year, 25, is going to be bigger and better!

Now on another note! Look what Miss Anna delivered to me this morning! I feel like its MY birthday again! hahaha. Thank you Anna for being a great Consultant for Stampin' Up! I can't wait to get stuck into everything and get creative on Miss I's Naming Ceremony invites!

Until Next Time

Supplies used for Male Birthday Card -

  • White Cardstock (Office Works)
  • Early Espresso Ink (Stampin' Up)
  • Occasional Greetings Stamp Set (Stampin' Up - Retired)
  • Tools Background Stamp (Unsure of brand, I purchased it off eBay)
  • Handyman Stamp (from a Clear Mount set that was $6.99 from Lincraft, unsure of the brand name)
  • Sponge Daubers
  • Silver Brads (for 'nails')
  • Foam Tape/Dimensionals
  • (I dont have alot of coloured cardstock, so for this card I coloured white cardstock for the mount behind the 'handyman' picture with the early espresso ink and a make up removal pad, miss means it matches the ink exactly since it is just ink!)
