August Team Swaps

Ok, so these are a little late, but better late then never right! Over the next 3 days I'll be showing you our team swaps for 'The Lasting INKpressions', my upline's team that I'm stoked to be a part of!

Each month we have a theme to base our swaps around, and the theme for August was 'Weddings'.

Here is my take on a Wedding Card for our swaps :) - (supply list at the end of the post).

This card could also be made into an engagement or even a birthday card! Just a simple change of the sentiment and its anything you want it to be!

And tomorrow I will show you the swaps I received in return.

I just love being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and surrounding myself with lost wonderful talented crafty women!  Not only that but I also get a great discount on the products that I already love to buy! That sounds like a win-win to me! Plus there are so many other GREAT incentives and benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! If you would love to hear some more then just comment below with your email address or email me at kirraleighbrooks@gmail.com for more information and how to join this fantastic company!

Circus Party Photos Revealed!

Ok so as you all know, my littlest princess turned 1 over the weekend. And I showed off a couple of sneak peaks at different things I made for her Circus Party! Well without further ado, here are the piccies from her party.
The Birthday Girl in her custom made outfit from Yazhi Lulu as an 'Acrobat'

The Loot Bag Table :)

The Food Table (with Mini Hotdogs, Cupcakes and Marshmellow Pops)

The Cupcakes!

The Marshmellow Pops!

The Cake and The Smash Cake!

My beautiful little family (getting a photo where all 4 of us are looking the same way and all smiling is a VERY VERY Rare thing, as you can see)

And the family tradition of a cake smash for the special 1 year old
The Birthday Girl after her Cake Smash haha

The poor cake when she was done haha

We had the whole party planned for outside, but the weather in 'Sunny' Queensland decided it was going to be nice and rainy and stormy so we cleared the house out (which was quite easy as half the house is packed) and had it inside. All the kids had a great time with their game cards and each got a sticker on their cards once they participated in the game (ring toss, ball toss, ring of fire, pluck-a-duck, can knock and stilt walking). Then then got a lollipop once their card was completed.

If you want to know anything about the party, games, food etc, just leave a comment and Ill be happy to share my ideas with you :)

Until next time,
Keep Smiling
Kirra :)

Circus Party Progress

Ok so its not a whole lot of progress but its a little!

Here are the Cupcake Toppers coloured in.

As in my last post on soon to be Miss 1's birthday, the stamp set used is the now retired Under The Big Top and was punched out using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. I coloured all the characters in with the Stampin' Up Watercolour Pencils (but didnt water colour them, just coloured them in). I have since mounted them on some red 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punches, but I wont do a whole new blog post just about mounting them haha.

I still have a fair bit to do for her party and its now only 3 weeks away!! Eeeek!!! I better pull my finger out and get working! So much to do, so little time!

This afternoon I am holding my first paid Class! We are making 2 Christmas Cards and 2 Bottle Tags! Stay tuned and Ill post these over the few days following the class!

Until next time,

2012-2014 In Colour Team Swaps

As the title suggests, my team decided that the 2012-2014 In-Colours would be a great theme for our October Swaps!

I am just in love with my 5 brand new colours, and their co-ordinating Stitched Satin ribbon! And even better is every $60 order placed this month gets you a spool of that ribbon! Spend $120 (before p&h) and get 2 free spools of Stitched Satin Ribbon! Spend $300 (before p&h) and get all 5 spools of In Colour Stitched Satin Ribbon FOR FREE!!!! I think this is a FANTASTIC special from Stampin' Up! At the bottom of my email will be my email address, if you would like to take advantage of this special offer, just send me an email and Ill pop your order in for you!

OK, so here is my October Swap!

I used the Block E from the Clear-Mount Blocks,  and applied the Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin' Pad Ink directly to the block (no stamp mounted) and stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock.  I then silhouetted Just Believe onto it in StazOn Black Ink as well as the Thank you sentiment from the Delightful Dozen Set.  I mounted the cut out Acrylic Block Print and rounded the corners with the 3/16" Corner Punch. The ribbon is Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon, which has just been knotted off to the opposite side to the sentiment to balance the card out. All of this has been mounted on Midnight Muse Card Stock to give a border and that was then 3D mounted onto Naturals White Card Stock which has been stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad Ink.

A nice simple card that is quite effective and gender neutral for a Thank You Card, or with a quick change of the sentiment would make a beautiful Get Well Card or Sympathy Card.

To order any of the products used on my October In Colour Swap Card or to take advantage of the FREE Spool of Stitched Satin Ribbon (as seen on my Card Swap) you can email me at kirraleighbrooks@gmail.com or phone me on 0402 906 605.

Until Next Time
