Ships Ahoy!

One of my best friends had her birthday the other day. She is NOT a fan of flowers and all the other girly girly things, so I had to ask her what Stamp Set she would like her card made out of, at least then I knew I couldn't get it wrong :P

She chose The Open Sea Stamp Set. So here is the card I created for her, which she loved :)

There was lots of layering and some fun scrunching.

The following Stampin' Up! Products were used - The Open Sea Stamp Set, Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper (Retired), Wacky Wishes, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Color Spritzer Tool, Stampin' Write Markers (Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake), Sponge Daubers, Adhesives (Tombow Glue, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip), and Card Stock (Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White)

To purchase any of these products, email me at kirraleighbrooks@gmail.com or phone me on 0402 906 605.

Let me know you popped in!

Until Next Time,

Circus Party Invites

I'm sorry for those who came back last week to see my Circus Party Invites. I have been flat out with the girls, house hunting and keeping house while trying to make calls and organise quotes etc to buy a house. Fingers crossed all works in our favour though! Kirra's Korner might have a new home before Christmas!

Ok so without further ado, here are the much awaited INVITES!!

Incase you were wondering, yes, every one of those circus tents has been fussy cut and the white bits in the canopy were cut out using a pen knife.... Lesson learnt, sooooo much work!

Nothing on these come from Stampin' Up! because I am trying to use up all my non-Stampin' Up! product so I only have the good Stampin' Up! Products in my craft room!

Hope you liked these, let me know your thoughts :)

Until next time,
Keep Smiling

Birthday Preparation For My Soon To Be 1 Year Old!

Hello!

Well the count down is on and party preparations are in full swing for Miss I's 1st birthday! I can't believe its been nearly a year since she entered the world on Rememberance Day last year!

As soon as I saw the 2011-2012 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue last year I fell in love with the 'Under The Big Top' suite. So after deciding at that very point in time that no matter what gender Miss I was going to be, the 1st birthday party would be CIRCUS Themed!!!!
So here are some of my preparations so far.... I havn't done much and will post what I have done as it comes together put at the moment here are the sneak peeks of her party prep!

Ok so the first 3 photos of the 1 3/4" Circles with the 'Under The Big Top' characters on them are for cupcake toppers and party bag favours, I still need to colour them all in! That's going to take me some time haha, I am the worst colouring-inner haha.
The last 2 photos are embossed circus tents. This embossing folder (not a Stampin' Up! one) I happened to stumble across at our local craft market last month and for $7.00 I couldn't leave it there when it matched so perfectly with Miss I's party theme, so I got home and rethought her Invitations. These are the embossed tents on Red Cardstock. Tomorrow I will post a picture of the invites completed, the camera battery is on the charger at the moment.

Well Ill catch you back here tomorrow!
Until then!
Keep Smiling

Photo Inspiration Challenge over at Our Creative Corner

Hi Everyone!

This week over at Our Creative Corner they are having a Photo Inspiration Challenge! Oh My Gosh! Check out the yummy photo we had to be inspired by! Doesn't it just look delicious! Needless to say, getting inspired by something so yummy was pretty easy!

The guidelines were -
1. Use the photo as inspiration.
2. Use 2 or more buttons.
3. Use polka dots somewhere.

And here is the Kirra's Korner take on the challenge!

You can't see it in the photo but all 3 of the Rosettes have polka dots on them, so it is a very dotty card :)

All Supplies used were Stampin' Up! although all supplies, except the buttons, are retired stock. And upon inspection of a few previous catalogues, Im not sure if the ribbon was Stampin' Up! or not, I can't find it in the catalogues but thought I received it as a hostess gift but I mustn't have.

Designer Buttons - Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and More Mustard.
Designer Series Paper Patterns Pack - Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait.

As you can see I was inspired by the soft pastel colours of the cake photo.

I hope you like the card, I am pretty happy with my end result, I can tell because I can't stop looking at it hehe.

Leave a message if you dropped by!

Until next time,
Keep Smiling!

Birthday Card for a 1yo

Hey everyone!

Sorry I havnt posted in a while, I forgot how fast a 10 month old moves, so I havnt had a chance to get online for a while.

Here is a cute card I made for our Nephews 1st Birthday coming up next weekend (I'm actually ahead in my cards at the moment, very rare for me, I'm usually rushing to make them the night before or morning of the event haha).

I am loving the 'Moving Forward' Stamp Set at the moment (the little bike is part of the set), its very verastile and works great for little boys cards! Of course it also works great of other cards aswell, I just love it for little boys!

I used the following Stampin' Up! Supplies -
Moving Forward Stamp Set, Wacky Wishes Stamp Set (Hostess), Whisper White & Pacific Point Card Stock, Real Red, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green Stampin Write Markers.

Ribbon is not Stampin Up, I just had it sitting on my desk and thought it would work well as 'grass'.

If you would like any of the Stampin' Up! Supplies used in this project, just email me and Ill be happy to help out :)

Leave a message and let me know what you think!

Until Next Time,
Keep Smiling,
Kirra :)
